DAY ENTRIES AVAILABLE
The Corsham St Georges 10K takes place on the Sunday nearest to 23 April,
St Georges Day; the patron saint of England. The run is now in its 29th
year and is organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Corsham and Corsham
Running Club. It is open to all aged over 15 on the day and last year
attracted some 800
entries. It is possible to enter on the day, although this is more
expensive and also due to the rush for last minute entries there will be
large queues and plenty of time must be allowed to obtain the race
number and its associated chip for electronic timing. On the day
registration closes 45 minutes before the start of the Race in order to process the applications into the database.
The route is accurately measured and the appropriate Race Licence and
Certificate of Accuracy will be available for inspection in Race HQ.
Approximately half of the entry fee goes to the support of local
charities decided by the Rotary Club as this is their major fund raising
activity..
This year's main charity is Pancreatic Cancer Research, but funds will also be provided to other
local charities as determined by the co-sponsors of the race, Corsham Rotary Club
The start and finish are in the vicinity of Corsham Football Club, Lacock Road, Corsham, SN13 9HS. There will be plenty of available parking at this venue and various activities and retail opportunities will also be provided. Refreshments will be available.
